Yileen Garden Co., Ltd , located in
Zhujiang town, Nanjing, China, a family owned water garden plants
nursery, have not only a large selection of water lilies, lotus,
bowl lotus (miniature lotus) and other aquarium plants, but also
ample experiece of cultivation, propagation, hybridiztion, management
and trade on them. Now it is a highly prestigious company in horticultural
industry of China.
Lotus as one of the ten most famous flowers of China is favorite
by many people with a long history of cultivation and being used
in many conditions. It's the symbol of purity and elegance. In poems,
songs, fashion arts etc, you can always find its name or pretty
sign. But in 1985 when Yileen Garden garden began to set up, few
people pay any attention to it. So the founder of Yileen garden,
Yuesheng Ding and his wife, Zhaoqin Tong, decided to exploid the
traditional flower of China and other related ones such as bowl
lotus, water lilies, etc. Then Yileen Garden was founded formally
in 1986. After many times of failure, Yileen Garden gradually build

mastered enough advanced planting and hybridizing techniques of
lotus. More and more high quality lotus naissance in Yileen Garden
and attract specialists, professors and traders' attention. On the
7th National Lotus Exhibition Yileen Garden won the 2nd prize of
Planting Skill. HOPE, a new hybrid of lotus bred by themselves,

now Yileen Garden has already had 130 bowl lotus cultivars
and more than 100 water lilies and annually can produce bowl lotus
rhizomes and water lily tubers 50,000 and 300,000.
respectively. The products have been exported to Japan, US, Holland,
Canada, even all over the world. Every year many new cultivars are
bred in the garden. Such as LEADER, GREEN CLOUD, HOLY FIRE and so
on. With development of technology, the physical and chemical mutant
inducing methods will be widely used to improve the quality of lotus
and water lily. In the future, higher quality, more abundant water
garden plants will thrive in Yileen Garden, then in other places
of the world.
In 21th century, Yileen Garden have already drawn up their new
developing program. They plan to enlarge their planting scale, develop
new techniques of planting, improve the quality and hardiness of

About the founder of Yileen Garden:
Yuesheng Ding, an ordinary chinese peasant, but has done an unordinary
thing-- setting up Yileen Garden. Born in 1963, jiangpu county,
Nanjing, after graduated from a high school, he bagan to make a
living himself. In 1985, he founded Yileen Garden Co., Ltd with
his wife, Zhaoqin Tong. Breeding new cultivars, developing advanced
techniques of planting, publishing articles on water lily and lotus,
etc, he has devoted himself to the ponding industry.
Zhaoqin Tong, the wife of Mr. Ding, manager of Yileen Garden Co.,
Ltd. Born in 1964, jiangpu county, Nanjing, as a lady, she love
all the beautiful things by nature. She loves the lotus more. Under
her endeavor, many new cultivars of lotus has been bred in Yileen
Garden. The aquatic plants become more beautiful because of her
patient care. As the author of BOWL LOTUS, she has also published
many articles on lotus and waterlily.
